Volunteer
The Snoqualmie Valley School District welcomes the involvement of families and community members who are committed to supporting the success of our students. If you are interested in volunteering at school, please inquire about opportunities at your school office and follow the steps below. Volunteer applications are processed at each school site. If you're approved by one school, you'll also be eligible to volunteer at any other Snoqualmie Valley schools for two years.
All who volunteer in our schools must be approved as follows:
- Read the SVSD Volunteer Handbook.
- If you agree to these guidelines, please fill out and sign the Volunteer Applications and return the forms to your school office with a copy of your official photo identification - needed to process a background check. (If you are applying to volunteer for a specific event, please allow at least 48 hours prior to your event.)
- You will be notified via email when your application is approved. If approved, your volunteer application is good for two years, at any Snoqualmie Valley school.
Also, if a volunteer intends to drive their own student to school activity/field trip, please complete this form: Consent to Use Private Transportation.
Also, Have You Considered Substituting?
While volunteers donate their time, SVSD substitutes are also needed and compensated. In addition to substitute teaching, classified substitutes fill in for a variety of vital school positions that don't require certification. These include helping prepare and serve food during breakfast and lunch, assisting teachers in the classroom, custodial tasks, and secretarial coverage in the front office. Substitutes are on-call and enjoy broad flexibility in where and when they wish to work. Learn more about becoming a substitute. If you have questions about substituting, please contact our Substitute Coordinator (suboffice@svsd410.org) | 425-831-3884.
